"Project Prairie Dog" originally began over 20 years ago as a public statement by the Llano Estacado Native American Society. In the many years since, research and contemporaneous public understanding about prairie dogs has evolved immensely.
Prairiedog.us is dedicated to providing information about prairie dogs and their important place in our ecosystem. This includes research, laws and regulations, and a balanced approach to both wild prairie dog populations and their obvious and adored place as human companions in many countries around the world. Of particular interest is research into their language, and further understanding of how these amazing animals process language and develop regional dialects.
